As we prepare our hearts to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are walking together through the book of Luke. Luke gives us one of the most detailed, compassionate, and Spirit-filled accounts of Jesus’ life. He shows us not only what Jesus did—but who Jesus is: Our Savior, Healer, Redeemer, and our Friend.

🌬️🔥 1. Jesus Gives the Mission (Acts 1)

Before returning to Heaven, Jesus tells His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit.They ask if the Kingdom will be restored to Israel — which shows the plan is still focused there.

But Jesus tells them the message will soon go far beyond Jerusalem.

Acts is the bridge from Israel… to the world.

As seen in Ephesians 3, Paul in his prayer unto all of the saints, uttered these very words, "For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
