🌿 Walking Through the Gospel of Luke
A Journey to the Cross and the Empty Tomb
As we prepare our hearts to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are walking together through the book of Luke. Luke gives us one of the most detailed, compassionate, and Spirit-filled accounts of Jesus’ life. He shows us not only what Jesus did—but who Jesus is: Our Savior, Healer, Redeemer, and our Friend.
Let us journey together—from the beginning to the end.
✨ Chapters 1–2: The Promise is Born
Luke begins with divine announcements—John the Baptist is foretold, and then Jesus. The angel speaks, and heaven touches earth.
Jesus is born in humility, laid in a manger. Yet heaven declares:
“Glory to God in the highest.”
👉 God fulfills His promises. Salvation has entered the world.
🔥 Chapters 3–4: Preparation and Power
John prepares the way. Jesus is baptized. Then tested in the wilderness—but He stands firm.
Jesus begins His ministry declaring:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me.”
👉 Victory begins with obedience and identity.
💫 Chapters 5–9: The Ministry of Compassion
Jesus calls ordinary people. He heals the sick, forgives sins, and feeds the hungry. He reveals His glory on the mountain—yet speaks of the cross ahead.
👉 Jesus meets needs—but also calls us to follow Him fully.
🌾 Chapters 10–15: Teachings of the Kingdom
Here we encounter some of the most powerful parables:
The Good Samaritan ❤️
The Lost Sheep 🐑
The Prodigal Son 🙌
👉 God is not distant—He is seeking, loving, and restoring.
⚖️ Chapters 16–19: Urgency and Accountability
Jesus teaches about eternity, stewardship, and repentance.
Zacchaeus climbs a tree—but finds salvation. Jesus enters Jerusalem—but weeps.
👉 Time is short. Salvation is now.
🕊️ Chapters 20–23: The Road to the Cross
Jesus is questioned, rejected, betrayed, and crucified.
Yet even on the cross, He says:
“Father, forgive them.”
👉 Love remains—even in suffering.
🌅 Chapter 24: The Victory of the Resurrection
The tomb is empty. Death is defeated.
Jesus walks with His disciples, opens their understanding, and ascends in glory.
👉 The story does not end at the cross—it begins with resurrection power.
🙏 Final Reflection: This Is Our Story
The Gospel of Luke is not just history—it is an invitation.
From brokenness → to restoration
From sin → to salvation
From death → to life
As we prepare for this holy season, let us not just read Luke— Let us live it.
