The Hands of God Foundation or HOG was founded in October 2021 in the aftermath of the August Haiti Earthquake by nine professionals within the health, business, and education spaces. Together they helped rebuild a school completely destrpoyed by the earthquake and birthed what we know today as HOG. HOG is commiteed to promoting education equity and celebrating diversity through children sponsorship and mentorship programs. They support over 7 schools in Haiti where they cover the academic tuition of nearly 100 children and ensure these schools are adequately supplied with the books and resources needed for these children to thrive. They are supported by a community of sponsors who cover tuition and engage in a penpal relationship with a specific child. They also provide local mentorship to support the academic and personal development of young minority children living in NYC communities.
